What is Skywatch?

SkywatchSkywatch is the official monthly newsletter of the Northeast Florida Astronomical Society. It is available via digital download in Adobe PDF format. Skywatch contains articles, photos, contact information, and a monthly sky calendar which lists club events as well as astronomical events.

 

How Do I Get It?

You can download Skywatch by selecting the appropriate link from the Skywatch menu at the top of the page, or by clicking one of the links listed below. We archive all past issues in links labelled with the appropriate year. The issue is available at the top of the current year's page.

You will need to have the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system to be able to read these files.  Most recent computers have this installed by default, but you can always download it for free at http://www.acrobat.com.

 

How Do I Submit Articles for Skywatch?

Skywatch editors welcomes submissions for inclusion in the newsletter, and encourages all members to participate in the club this way. To submit content for an upcoming issue, simply email it to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . Types of content that may be submitted includes:

  • Articles about events, equipment reviews, how-to articles, or accounts of firsthand experiences (i.e. attending star parties)
  • Original works of fiction or poetry related to astronomy
  • Photographs (astrophotos or event photos)
