Online Virtual General Meeting, Friday 2/26/2021
Friday, February 26, 2021 – 7:30 PM to 9 PM will be an actual online meeting. Invites will be sent to you with the established link.
ANNOUNCING TWO NEW CONTESTS THAT WILL BE JUDGED IN MARCH AND THE WINNER ANNOUNCED! YOU WILL HAVE TIL FEBRUARY 28, 2021 FOR NEW MEMBERS TO JOIN AND ENTER THE FIRST CONTEST.
The first contest is to give the chance of one lucky new member during the month of February 2021 to receive a new Orion 6 inch dobsonian reflector. You must become a paid member of the Northeast Florida Astronomical Society (NEFAS) during the month of February to get a chance of receiving the telescope. If you already have a telescope and win, then you may receive a new eyepiece of comparable value. You must email to info@nefas.org the name of the existing member that recruited you for the second contest to be judged in March.
The second contest for the month of February 2021 is only for existing paid members. The contest is to recruit the largest number of newly paid members of NEFAS by the last day of February 28, 2021. The current member that does get the largest number of new paid members wins a new Daystar solar Scout SS60 telescope chosen by the runner of the contest, the director at large. Your name must be submitted to info@nefas.org by February 28, 2021 to be added to the list and be submitted for the second contest. The Director at Large, who will not be eligible to win the telescope, will be the final judge on who has the most newly paid members by the end of February 2021.
